“ Great Landmark spot for breakfast and dinner. Been coming for many years. Service is great and very friendly. The only reason I gave 3 stars for food is the fact that they charge 75c for one ounce of extra ranch. Feels cheap. Its not about the 75c its more about a principle concept of extra service. ”

“ Came in and it was decorated for Halloween and Fall. It looked very nice and warm and inviting. Dave was our excellent and efficient waiter and Sonya was also very kind and sweet to my mom (who is 90) and me. It was my birthday. We put in our drink orders, me a sprite and mom got a small cranberry juice. Dave bought them right away. I asked about the Thanksgiving dinner they offer and he said it costs $30 per person and you cam eat there or get it to go. Since our kitchen is being remodeled we might just do that. I put tonight's menu in my photos and the Thanksgiving menu too. It was quite large and had two long pages. I ordered their 3 rib eye beef tacos that come with onions and cilantro chopped up..the two types of salsa are very delicious. Each taco comes in two tortillas and so I end of feeling like I can make 6 from the three as the helping of meat is so generous. Mom got a ginger chicken salad and she loved it so much. She saved half for later. We loved the whole ambiance of the place, the decorations and the fireplace and lights and ot made me feel festive. Being it was my birthday i was so happy to get a little ice cream sundae for dessert. Sonya another waitress and Dave sang to me with mom and then I blew out the candle and we got to work eating it. It was covered in chocolate syrup and was a perfect ending to our meal. The other two young men joined us by their giant pumpkin with Sonya for a few photos. I also asked Dave to sit by the fire so I could get his picture. He has worked there for a few years so we feel like we are home when we go there. It is a very wonderful restaurant and can be very busy some mornings, or at lunch or at dinner but other times it can be half full and more roomy. We put our leftovers in plastic containers we bring ourselves to reuse them to help reduce waste. It was a magical night and I felt cared for and special. The best part is they have several special menus for different nights. Tonight was pasta night and other nights it is fiesta night. You should try their pies too. Scrumptious. Its close to the 210 freeway and also a cheap arco gas station which we love to go fill up at. And trader joes is a few blocks down. I highly recommend you try it and you won't be disappointed. ”

“ Great solid American foods. Service can be unattentive but have never been disappointed by regular menu foods. Probably wouldn't order happy hour foods again. Will come back regularly because cooks know what they are doing. Prices recently went up and are more like what is normal to La Crescenta bit on the lower end. Would recommend. ”

“ The Dish is a wonderful place for any meal. With active toasters on the booth tables it reminds one to order a many bread items as possible when ‘Dish-ing’ for breakfast. I recommend the Chicken Piccata but substitute the mashed potatoes with linguini or the excellent Patty Melt sandwich served with humungous onion rings. The Salmon Wrap is also very amazing as it is perfect if one doesn't want to feel stuffed after eating and when paired either with a salad or sliced tomatoes its a perfect balance for one to 'feel healthier' The Green Garden salad that can be chopped upon request is a phenomenal and more healthy option and paired perfectly with an ice tea for lunch. ”

“ We had a good experience at dish after a visit to Descanso Gardens. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good enough. It's a large restaurant, so even though it was packed and Mother's Day, we were seated fairly quickly without a reservation. The coffee was good enough could've been a little bit stronger. (Full disclosure I need to super strong coffee to live.) My kid wasn't that friendly and just had fries what she thought were good enough. I had the Florentine Quiche (though our server miss heard me initially and brought Florentine Benedict to start. That was quickly replaced with what I had asked for) the quiche was perfectly prepared. Nice and fluffy key should be. Potatoes on the side. Could've used a little bit more seasoning did the job the potatoes are supposed to do. My wife had a Florentine Benedict without the English muffin as she is gluten-free. She thought it was good, but would've appreciated more gluten-free bread options. You can see the local appeal of a restaurant like this with lots of breakfast options, I mean stay when you want classic foods. If we lived in La Canada, I'm sure we'd be there often enough. ”
